Whoop Fans! A30 Battery Connectors

In the world of TInywhoops the right battery connector can make all the difference!  Voltage sag and connector pin wear and tear has long plagued PH2.0 connectors, and xt30’s are simply to heavy for a 20g whoop.  BT2.0 connectors from BetaFPV were set to fill this void, but their proprietary connector was costly and only available with their own battery cells.

The A30 battery connector from GNB is set to become a popular choice for Whoop Enthusiasts, compatible with BetaFPVs popular BT2.0 range,  GNB’s high quality cells, and adding an improved connector at a good price we expect these to be seen on more Whoops in the future, with HappyModels Mobula6 2024 (coming soon to KiwiQuads) being the first model to feature it!

The A30 battery connector, introduced as a successor to the GNB27, competes closely with the BT2.0 connector in terms of performance and design its benefits include:

1. Enhanced Performance: The A30 connector provides a low-resistance connection, which translates to better power delivery and improved flight performance – tests have shown this to be similar to BT2.0and gnb27 performance.

2. Durability: Constructed to withstand frequent use, the A30 connector is durable and less prone to wear and tear compared to the typical PH2.0 connectors

3. Compact Design: Its small footprint makes it ideal for 1S FPV Whoops, where space and weight are at a premium, it weighs the same as a BT2.0 connector at 0.6G

4. Compatible with BT2.0: between the A30 and BT2.0 connectors is noteworthy:

• The A30 batteries can fit drones with BT2.0 connectors, this is officially supported!
• BT2.0 batteries in a drone with A30 connector is not officially supported (due to the notch in A30), but many influencers believe this is OK as well.
