What is a Tiny Whoop?
Tiny Whoop is a US based company founded by Jesse Perkins. The original Tiny Whoop was a 65mm Micro drone featuring an FPV camera and 6x15mm brushed motors. Whoop drones have since evolved significantly from the first version. Some micro drones can even be powered with 3 cell batteries. This is a significant power improvement from the original 1 cell whoop quads.
The original idea behind Tiny Whooping was to have the ability to explore the unexploded with tiny FPV drones. Previously micro drones were only used as toys and didn’t feature the same cameras larger drones could hold. As technology progressed camera and video transmission technology got smaller and lighter, allowing us to mount to a micro drone.Â
The First Brushless Whoop
In 2018, the first commercially available brushless whoop hit the market and changed micro drones as we know it. This was a game changer for the micro market and has since sparked a new wave of brushless racing drones that can fit in the palm of your hand!
